Former Star Wars 9 director Colin Trevorrow recently commented on an article on the Making Star Wars page that contained details of an alleged director's screenplay. The article gave first information about Rey's history. Now it's time to guess, because the details are simply wrong according to Trevorrow.Star Wars 9: The rise of Skywalker starts very soon in German cinemas and completes a whole cinema era. The Skywalker saga, which began in 1977 with Star Wars, will find an epic ending in 2019. First presale figures reveal that the finale will be at least financially a success. Whether fans will be happier with J. J. Abrahms finals than they were with Rian Johnson's Star Wars 8, will show. The Internet has been teeming with alleged leaks, rumors, and speculation on a variety of things from Star Wars 9 for years. A particularly controversial issue is Rey's history and who her parents were.
That Rey's parents were simple junk merchants of Jakku, as it was said in the movies, believe only a few fans. There are the most diverse and most adventurous rumors on the Internet. So Rey Skywalker and Rey Solo are just a few of the fans' fans really want Rey to be. Who Rey actually is in the end, will probably still show. As was reported by Making Star Wars a few days ago, Colin Trevorrow, who worked on Star Wars 9 prior to J.J. Abrahms, was purported to bring to light some details of Rey's past. The article described a past in which Rey's mother was employed in the solo estate and Rey and Ben Solo (Kylo Ren) grew up together as children. Colin Trevorrow himself commented on the article via Twitter. Normally he does not interfere, but not a single word from the article ever appeared in his screenplay.
Nevertheless, we do not know more than before, because how J. J. Abrahm's version of the story is going is still very much a secret. As of December 18, 2019, we'll learn more when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker kicks in.
